Training Delivery Options

Knowing that adults like to learn in different ways and different times of the day, we have several different delivery methods in which you can register for a course.

WebCourses (In-person Courses)

CFT webcourses blend the convenience of attending class online, wherever you may be, with the value of being part of a live classroom. Use your telephone and computer to join the virtual classroom at a specific time on a specific day of the week with a “live” instructor. Prepare assignments that you will discuss in class and review material your instructor places online that you will see online along with the rest of your classmates. Participate in discussions and ask questions of your instructor during class time. Finish the class from the comfort of your home or office – and earn the same credits as a comparable in-person course.

Independent Study Courses

Independent Study Courses are student-friendly, college level courses that allow you to take control of your busy schedule.  You will study on your own, however you will have a qualified instructor only a telephone call or e-mail away.  Upon registering for a class, you will be mailed a textbook, a syllabus outlining your course, and your first open-book quiz.  You will have three to six months (certain classes allow less than six months) from the starting date to complete your class.  Your exams (two per class) will be proctored by an officer or manager at your financial institution.  Upon satisfactory completion of your class, you will, within days, receive your grade and the appropriate credits for the class, which are the same as though you had earned them by taking the course in a classroom or online.

Online Instructor-Led Courses

CFT offers over 20 instructor-led online courses in a convenient format that requires an Internet connection and an active e-mail account. Each week, students read an online lecture, along with their textbook, and submit an assignment to their instructor either through a discussion board posting, via direct e-mail, or a combination of the two. Students enjoy the flexibility of not being required to be online at a specific day or time and the convenience of having an instructor with subject matter expertise only an e-mail away. Quizzes and exams are administered electronically and are submitted to the instructor for grading.

Online Self-Paced Course

Online Self-paced courses offer cost-effective banking, business, and trust courses that deliver and skills and concepts that can be immediately applied on the job.  These courses provide enhanced training support with tools like our unique, role-based training roadmaps that guide users through a proven training path; blended learning extensions that enable immediate facilitated practice and application of learning in a classroom environment; and world-class implementation support that ensures the success of your training program.

In-Person Seminars

CFT Seminars and designed for bank employees and are offered year-round at conveniently located venues.  These fast-paced educational programs feature nationally recognized speakers with the right combination of flair and expertise to deliver the highly-effective workshop you expect.  Topics include:  lending, teller operations, customer service, selling skills, credit training, financial statement analysis, cash flow analysis, supervisory skills, etc.

Webinars

Live webinars allow you to participate in the webinar (via the internet) as it is being delivered. You will login to the webinar on your PC to view the PowerPoint presentation, and you have the option of using your PC speakers or a telephone for the audio. Participants can type and send their questions to the instructor. Many companies are now running their PC through an LCD projector allowing many employees to participate. Whether it is 1 participant or 100, the same price applies.

If you cannot attend the webinar on its scheduled date you can still purchase the on-demand recording. You will receive an e-mail that contains a link to the PowerPoint slides (to download, print, and copy) as well as a link to the media player where you will view and hear the entire webinar just as it was delivered, featuring the full-color PowerPoint presentation with audio. You can pause, fast-forward and rewind as needed, which makes it a nice training tool. The weblink will be available to you (and anyone else in the company) for six months from the date of the live webinar and can be accessed 24/7 as many times as you wish.  Delivered via e-mail 1 or 2 days after the webinar takes place.
